Does that suggest that there's a table being used in your report that isn't being filtered as you're expecting? Might be worth checking (or getting someone else to check  ) that the data security has been set up on all of the tables...I know it's ea...

yea, something like that is what I am assuming - but I'm just a measly report designer; I know too little about admin or security to go from here. I'm giving this to my IT to figure out.

Hi,
How many rows is the report output and which format are you running? Try to take of some columns and see if there is any improvement, if you haven't tried that yet. Are you getting the whole result set when you run the sql in the database?

Hi,
Are you getting the whole result set in 3 seconds without sorting and which cubes are you using and how big are the cubes and is the sorting done at the grain level?

I am seeing an odd behavior  while using drill up/down for a given hierarchy in Cognos 11 Report vs Dashboard.

I speak too early. This repeater table only works for one EE. If there are N employees, the same EE will show up N times.

Not sure that Cognos 10.x will support this sort of connection, but Cognos Analytics R6 has new data source connectivity to azure. Hopefully this will help you with your project !.

You will need a common column for any kind of join. Do you have any other table that has a related column with the stored proc?

Hi Lynn / New_Guy,

Thank you much for your replies. I have joined the SP and the table by using  another common table and write the query in sql and given the sql generated report output to the customer. He seems to be happy.
