CORRECTION ... I tried that in another file that had aggregates.
Apparently, entering 0 in "Missing value characters" DOES work.

Children brings only members one level down which might not bring leaf members and the description might only be at leaf level. Try descendants( [member], 999, before) and see if you get descriptions for all the members or not. And also take a look...

Hi,
Did you try building a regular report with the requirements that you mentioned and are you sucessful? You can create the date columns as you need by concatenating the 2 different columns to make the data format. Try and let us know.

Prior to 11.R5, there is no claim that Cognos Analytics has been tested via JDBC to MariaDB.
As of 11.R5, it is listed as tested using the MySQL JDBC driver.
So pre-11.R5 using JDBC it would be caveat emptor.

You didn't create an active report by any chance? I don't believe it's an option for those.
Also, is it possible you are only clicking on the page and not the overarching report when looking at the settings?
