Hi,

not sure what the goal is but there is a Cognos function to calculate days between 2 dates like your admissiont start date and today.

_days_between([admission start date] , current_date)

I tested a bunch of choices. When I set the crosstab member to just be "ACT_YTD_RT" from the table, I can sort of get what I need, but don't fully understand why it works.

And when I run it for 2017, it behaves badly again. It's not even an average. It's just grabbing the value from period 10.

Hi Bob

This can be done. Use conditional styling to set box type value based on selection. And yes, you have to select all cells of the row .
