Thanks MF,

As per your suggestion  I have verified report design but no use.

When we try to run with less data like 1 month we are able to see output in Excel 2007. If we try same running for 6 months we are getting mentioned error.

Not understanding...

I'm struggling to understand what you are doing in your report. Can you emulate it using one of the sample packages and post up the report spec so we can see what you are doing?

My Apologies Lynn. Since we have multiple versions of Cognos in use , I have posted my query in v8.4 where am facing this date format issue. But not response for couple of days and realized most of the users are in V10.
