Not really sure what 'easier to update the users' means, but what you described leads me to think you will need to use custom views.

you can change the target of a view in 11.0.3. its deep in the report view properties but its there.

it's still there but you likely have to recompile your java source code against the new sdk. We had bad luck compiling out custom java provider class against the new sdk after 11.0.2 so there might be some issues with it, object name changes etc.

I second this request. I got to use aggregate aware facts in an IDT model and it was awesome. It's one of my top wished for items in FM.
